About MyBibliotheca
MyBibliotheca is an open-source, self-hosted library manager and reading tracker. It is designed around a simple idea: your books and reading history should remain under your control.
Current release
The current stable release is 2.2.0. It uses KuzuDB for library data and relationships and is intended for production deployments.
The documentation on this site describes the stable release. If you are running a different version, use the documentation shipped with that version and check the release notes before upgrading.
Prefer a hosted option?
You can use MyBibliotheca without running a server. MyBibliotheca Cloud is the hosted reading tracker: sign up and start building your library in your browser. Accounts are free during beta, and the self-hosted project remains available for people who want to run and control their own installation.
Why self-host it?

Project values
Private by default. Sharing controls are explicit and personal reading activity can remain private.
Useful metadata without busywork. ISBN lookup, metadata enrichment, cover fetching, and conservative repair tools help fill gaps without silently overwriting existing information.
Recoverable operations. Backups, progress reporting, error reports, and additive repairs make large maintenance tasks easier to understand and repeat safely.
